(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) President Omer Hassan Al Bashir of Sudan has awarded the Al Neelain Order, first class, to the outgoing UAE Ambassador to Kharoum, Hassan Ahmed Al Shihi.
During his meeting with Al Shihi on Sunday, President Al Bashir also extended greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and praised the progressive ties between the two brotherly countries.
He further said the UAE had earned the respect of the entire world, thanks to achievements made in all fields and its vital role in regional and international arenas.
Additionally, he thanked ambassador Al Shihi for his contributions in enriching relations between the two countries.
Al Shihi, for his part, thanked the Sudanese leadership, government and people for the cooperation provided to him during his tenure and expressed his confidence that relations between the two countries will witness further growth, thanks to the keen support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Al Bashir.
