Senior executives from India's Federal Bank visit Doha


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Senior executives of Federal Bank, a leading private-sector bank in India, visited Qatar recently. Headquartered in Aluva, Kerala, the bank has more than 6mn customers.

K I Varghese, who led the bank's team to Qatar, said: "The meetings and discussions held with different exchange houses in Qatar were quite encouraging."

"Federal Bank offers its customers various remittances products such as Fedfast, Express remittance, Fed Flash and also various cash payment products. Federal Bank is the proud channel of around 9%

of the total NRI remittances to India. It has a representative office in Abu Dhabi and has some 18 officers in five countries - Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait. It has a rupee drawing arrangement with six banks and 71 exchange houses,"

said Deepak Govind, assistant general manager and chief representative officer who heads Federal Bank operations in
the GCC.
