Strong winds likely today in offshore areas in Qatar
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) There are chances of strong Northwesterly winds lashing the country's offshore areas in the forenoon today, the weather office has warned.
As a result, the waters could rise upto 9 feet at times but it may recede by late evening and fall to 3-5 feet. The winds could vary between 16 and 25 knots but by evening their intensity may fall to 10-18 knots.
The inshore areas may experience winds of upto 17 knots, at times going upto 20 knots.
The weather will be hot and slightly dusty at intervals.
The minimum and maximum temperatures will be 21 and 38 degrees. While in Ruwais and Dukhan, the minimum would be 23 degrees, in Al Khor the minimum expected is 22.The lowest temperature of the day would be on the south western region, surrounding Abu Samra.
