Woman motorist, male driver fined for road rage


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) An Arab lady was fined QR5,000 by a Doha criminal court for insulting and physically attacking a male driver on a public road, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday .

The driver was also fined QR2,000 for being involved in the scuffle on a public street. The incident happened when the driver was transporting his sponsor's wife through a busy road.

Suddenly, a lady motorist tried to overtake his car, but he did not give way.

Then, the lady drove her vehicle parallel to his car and insulted him and he replied in the same way.

Subsequently, the lady motorist overtook and forced the victim to stop his car too. She then opened the door of his car and dragged the man out by his hair and started to kick him hard.

He was eventually taken to Hamad Medical Corporation's Emergency Department was given a medical report that he requires treatment for 20 days before he could resume his job, the daily added.
