Senate receives 2014 Audit Bureau report


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Senate President Adul Raouf Rawabdeh has received the Audit Bureau's 63rd report for 2014 from the president of the Bureau, Mustafa Barari.

During the meeting, Rawabdeh stressed the importance of the Bureau's role in preserving public money through performing its work of monitoring public agencies in a professional manner, while fighting financial and administrative corruption.

The Senate president also commended the distinguished performance that led to compiling the 2014 Audit Bureau report in a record time. He further praised efforts by the Bureau's staff to oversee the spending of public money and focus on converting the Bureau's work towards reinforcing the nation's ongoing institutional reforms.

Barari said the Senate plays a key role in serving the Jordanian economy and developing legislation to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in the implementation of the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
