Odisha may finalise industry policy in two months


(MENAFN- KNN India) Government of Odisha is likely to finalise its Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR), 2015 in next two months, said a BS report.

A core committee on IPR 2015 headed by state chief secretary GC Pati on Friday considered on various provisions of the policy and chart a roadmap for its finalisation and subsequent implementation, it said.

According to IPR draft, the policy has an aim to create a conducive business climate, enabling environment and effective institutional structure to facilitate and encourage private sector investments.

The state has an established single window clearance mechanism in pursuance of the Orissa Industries (Facilitation) Act 2004 for providing time bound clearances and approvals.

Within six months of IPR 2015 coming into force, industries department shall initiate the deployment of a web enabled platform for facilitating all statutory approvals of projects applied through a combined application form (CAF).

Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Ltd (IPICOL) will establish a GIS based comprehensive industrial data bank with the help of a professional agency.

It will develop and implement a web based system to facilitate time bound clearances to investment proposals, including facility for e-filing of Common Application Form (CAF), e-payment of processing fees and virtual single window interface between investors and different clearance authorities by end of financial year 2015-16.
