Al Owais represents UAE in centenary of the Armenian genocide
(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health, today returned back home from Yerevan, capital of Armenia, after representing the UAE in the ceremony held yesterday to mark the Centenary of the Armenian genocide.
A number of heads of state, representatives of international organisations, guest ministers and ambassadors accredited to Armenia, attended the memorial.
The UAE Minister also attended the opening of the global forum against the crime of Genocide on Wednesday. In his keynote address, Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian spoke about methods to prevent future crimes against humanity.
