Arab MPs visit Yemeni refugees in Djibouti


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Arab Parliament President Ahmad Al-Jarwan and Kuwait Parliament Deputy Speaker Mubarak Al-Khurainej visited the province of Abokh in Djibouti, to get acquainted with living conditions of Yemeni refugees.

Al-Khurainej, also Arab Parliament Member, said he contacted Dr. Abdullah Al-Maatouq, President of Kuwait-based International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO), about the possibility of providing medical and food supplies for the Yemeni refugees after knowing their numbers.

He said in a statement the IICO was building 250 houses, two schools for boys and girls "funded by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah." Al-Khurainej, meanwhile, commended relations between Kuwait and Djibout.

Al-Khurainej is visiting Djibouti to participate in the Arab Parliament's meetings.
