Qatar's unemployment rate rises in Q1

(MENAFN) The Qatari capital is seeing an increased number of unemployed people looking for jobs in spite of the decreasing number of businesses who have multiple vacancies, Gulf Times reported.

The majority of international job seekers come from African countries, which do not stand as major contributors of workforce to the GCC countries, particularly Qatar.

The huge number of newcomers looking for Job in Qatar has taken employers by surprise with the increasing job cuts and the freeze on new recruitments in multiple sectors.
