(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Doha will host a regional workshop on the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (Mers-CoV) and One Health from tomorrow.
The workshop has been organised jointly by Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Ministry of Environment and the Supreme Council of Health, in collaboration with the World Organisation for Animal Health and World Health Organisation.
The regional workshop will discuss the current status of the disease in the region and the Horn of Africa.
The focus will be on the role of the One Health initiative, aimed at its control. The regional workshop, which will be held over three days at Doha Marriott Hotel, will engage representatives from the GCC and countries affected by the disease in the Arab region along with more than 120 experts from various disciplines.
