Workshop on 'Yemen after the Storm'

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Dr Khalid Al-Jaber, Editor-in-Chief at The Peninsula, and Azmi Bishara, an intellectual and academician, at a one-day academic workshop on 'Yemen After the Storm' organised by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies at the Sheraton Doha yesterday. A select group of scholars discussed the conflict currently under way in Yemen and its likely outcomes. The task ahead is for the country's politicians to arrive at political solutions that will save the country additional bloodletting and a possible civil war, the speakers said. The participants also examined the regional and wider global contexts which gave rise to Iran's interference in the Arabian Peninsula and the GCC military reaction.
