TOMOHON April 24 2015— About 25 paddy farmer groups in the city of Tomohon North Sulawesi obtained IDR2.19 billion-worth assistance from Ministry of Agriculture for fiscal year of 2015.
“The figures are not the same. The biggest one is up to IDR91.36 million while the smallest one worth IDR73.09 billion” said Mayor of Tomohon Jimmy F Eman in Tomohon Thursday (4/23/2015).
He added those 25 farmer groups will work on 600 hectare land area which production was predicted to reach 11000 ton for two planting seasons.
He said that Ministry of Agriculture could give assistance for 1000 hectare paddy land even the identified land was just about 600 hectares.
However the city government will maximally try to reach the target through the right counseling method over seeding process fertilization and water availability. Read more..
