South Korea To Invest In Bitung Special Economic Zone

MANADO April 24 2015—South Korea is interested in investing their capital in Bitung Special Economic Zone.

Vice Governor of North Sulawesi Djouhari Kansil said South Korean team will conduct a survey on a number of development projects in Bitung Special Economic Zone. The team has actually met the Governor of North Sulawesi Harry Sarundajang.

However the two sides held another meeting on Thursday (4/23) in the Vice Governor office. In this meeting the North Sulawesi provincial government asked a brief presentation related to the technical assistance from South Korea for the improvement of Bitung Special Economic Zone.

The South Korean consultant will gather data and perform presentation related to the assistance methodology and organizing for a number of projects that will be built to support Bitung Special Economic Zone and North Minahasa such as ports and roads.

“This partnership shows foreign investors’ confidence toward North Sulawesi. This assistance should be followed up” he said Thursday (4/23/2015).

With the presence of the South Korean team he expects the development of Bitung Special Economic Zone and North Minahasa to run properly. In fact he is ready to develop the project. Read more..
