Goodyear to invest USD550m in new Mexico plant
(MENAFN) U.S. tire manufacturer Goodyear announced it will invest USD550 million to build a factory in Mexico's north-central state of San Luis Potosi, Xinhua reported.
The plant, expected to start operation in 2017, will generate 1,000 direct jobs and some 5,000 indirect jobs when fully operated, Goodyear CEO R said at a ceremony to announce the investment.
"Today we are announcing our expanding commitment to Mexico. This plant will better meet the needs of this country and the Latin American continent," Goodyear CEO added.
