Korean Air, Airbus sign USD92.4m aircraft parts deal
(MENAFN) Korean Air and Airbus agreed on USD92.4 million deal, through which the South Korean number one carrier is to supply parts for Airbus's new A330neo, the Peninsula Qatar reported.
The parts include "sharklets", which are specific winglets to be attached on the tip of the aircraft's wings. It is worth mentioning that A330neo has two engines and it is presently under development by Airbus.
Under the deal, Korean Air will be involved in both designing and developing the parts. So far, the Korean firm has provided sharklets for several distinct planes made by Airbus.
