Some MoI service centres to open on Saturdays

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Ministry of Interior's services centres in Al Rayyan and Mesaimeer, where immigration and traffic-related services are provided, will now open on Saturdays, from 8 am to 12 noon.

The centres used to be closed on Fridays and Saturdays, and the decision to open them on Saturday mornings has been taken to help those unable to avail immigration and traffic-related services on the five working days.

Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al Ansari, head of the interior ministry's unified services department, said in a press release that the above two centres provided residence permit-related services, and services such as issuance and renewal of visas, sponsorship change, issuance of exit permits, and traffic-related services.

The official said that a planned new service centre in Al Wakra would also open on Saturday mornings.

The Umm Salal service centre will soon start opening on Saturdays.
