However local production was still far from satisfying local demand again in 2014 and given import restrictions retail volume sales contracted by 4% in 2014.

Competitive Landscape

There is limited competition in heating appliances with two companies accounting for almost 30% of volume sales in 2014. New San took the lead in 2014 with retail volume share reaching 14% followed by Liliana SRL with 14%. Liliana and New San are some of the consumer appliances companies which have benefited most from the import restrictions applied by the Federal Government.
