(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, today received lieutenant General Khalifa Haftar, the general commander of Libya's armed forces in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed fraternal relations between the UAE and Libya and ways to enhance them in various fields to the advantage of the two sisterly countries and peoples.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour affirmed the UAE's permanent support to legitimacy in Libya and its internationally recognised government that enjoys the support of the Libyan parliament, which was a result of free and fair elections.
He also emphasised the UAE's desire to ensure security and stability in Libya. He also pointed out that the UAE calls on all parties to put aside their differences, and exert all kinds of efforts to achieve stability in Libya.
Sheikh Mansour wished security and stability for the Libyan people.x
