(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan received lieutenant General Khalifa Haftar, the general commander of Libya's armed forces here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed the fraternal relations between the UAE and Libya and ways to enhance them in various fields to the advantage of the two sisterly countries and peoples, WAM news agency reported.
Sheikh Mansour affirmed the UAE's permanent support to legitimacy in Libya and its internationally recognised government that enjoys the support of the Libyan parliament, which was a result of free and fair elections.
He also emphasised the UAE's desire to ensure security and stability in Libya, adding that the UAE calls on all parties to put aside their differences and exert all kinds of efforts to achieve stability in Libya.
