Drop in temperatures forecast until Friday in Jordan


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, but they will remain around their annual average; therefore the weather will be moderate in most parts of the Kingdom and warm in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at different altitudes.

According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), clouds will gradually build up in the afternoon creating partly cloudy weather with a chance for scattered showers especially in the southern and eastern regions. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the southern and eastern parts of the country.

A further drop in temperatures is forecast on Thursday becoming below their annual average by 6-7 degrees. Therefore it will partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers in the northern and central areas , the JMD said. Winds will be westerly moderate to brisk raising dust in the desert areas.

As for Friday, temperatures will remain below their annual average by 5-6 degrees and the weather will be mild in the hilly areas and moderate in other regions with low clouds and a chance for light rain. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD added.

Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 21 degrees Celsius and a low of 12 degrees at night.
