Trade balance deficit drops about 17%


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Kingdom's trade balance deficit had decreased by 16.9 percent at the beginning of this year, driven by a 34.8 percent fall in oil imports, according to Department of Statics data.

The difference between the overall value of imports and exports in January and February, which reflects the trade deficit, stood at JD1.306 billion, while exports covered 38 percent of the imports value, compared to 37 percent of the same period last year, the data showed.
