Royal Oman Police News: Forceful entry, theft in Buraimi


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Three nationals have been arrested on charges of forced entry molestation and theft in Buraimi.

Police sources said that the three forcefully entered a house in Buraimi's Al Kadra area assaulted and molested the maid and stole from the house. A team formed to investigate the case soon arrested the accused and referred them to the Public Prosecution.

Two held with drugs in Liwa

North Batinah police has arrested two citizens for possessing and trafficking drugs in Liwa. They were found with 21 rolls and five cans filled with heroin besides cash. The two have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Three arrested with alcohol in Salalah

Three Asian expats were arrested in Salalah on charges of possessing and selling alcohol. An ROP source said 50 cartons with bottles of liquor were found during a search of their residence. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

32 enrol for course on prisons

A two-week course for officials in constituent prisons began at the Directorate General for Prisons. Thirty two trainees from this year's batch have enrolled for the course which will teach them about guests handling of detainees and work mechanisms of a prison. Lt Col Salem al Kalbani general manager of records and guest reception presided over the opening and called on the participants to perform their duty with honesty and integrity.
