Arab World, Turkey trade volume hits USD53b in 2014


(MENAFN) The trade volume between Turkey and Arab countries amounted to USD53 billion by the end of the fourth quarter of 2014, with forecasts of reaching USD70 billion by 2017, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The bilateral trade between Arab states and Turkey witnessed an astounding 300 percent upsurge over the past ten years, according to the Turkish Minister of Economy.

The Minister added that exports to the Arab world, which amounted to USD171.5 billion, represented 25 percent of the total exportations of Turkey, while direct Arab investments in Turkey reached USD 11.1 billion.
