Advisory Council holds meeting


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Advisory Council held its weekly regular session yesterday. It was chaired by Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.

At the outset of the meeting, Secretary-General of the Council HE Fahad bin Mubarak al-Khayreen read out the agenda which was approved.

Afterwards the Council endorsed minutes of its previous session.

The Council reviewed a memorandum by the Cabinet's General Secretariat addressed to the Ministry of Transport on recommendations related to a draft law for the issuance of safety regulations in small ships not covered by international maritime treaties in GCC states. The Council took note of the memorandum.

The Council discussed a draft law annulling law No14 of 1987 on levying fees for certificates issued by the Ministry of Education and decided to submit its recommendations to the Cabinet.

The Council also discussed a report by the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on a draft law amending some provisions of the custom law issued by law No 40 of 2002 and decided to submit its recommendations to the Cabinet.
