Finance minister meets with IMF chief


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Finance, Ummaya Toukan, on Sunday, held talks with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde and the fund's board of governors.

The meeting dealt with Jordan's economic reform program which the fund uses to devise its assistance programs and technical assistance to the kingdom. They also discussed Jordan's economic performance and the standby arrangement.

Toukan highlighted burdens being borne by Jordan because of the massive number of Syrian refugees on its territory.
