(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The 3rd periodical meeting of the Mediterranean Activities for Research and Innovation in the Energy sector (MARE) project kicked off on Monday.
The project, which is organized by the National Energy Research Center at the Royal Scientific Society (RSS-NERC), aims to bring together active parties from research and technology organizations, the business community, and small and medium-sized companies to boost cooperation in order to bridge the gap between research and innovation in this sector.
During the three-day meeting, partners from Jordan, Spain, Morocco, Greece, Egypt, and Lebanon will discuss the project's achievements and its future plans based on the given timeline as the project enters its final phase.
On the second day of the meeting, NERC will organize a tour to the RSS PV Plant (288 kWp) and Al-Fujaij RE Park to share its experience with the project partners and to introduce them to some of its success stories.
The MARE project is a consulting and research project taking place in the Euro-Med region and focuses on three technological pillars: energy efficiency, solar desalination, and renewable energy.
It has received funding from the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development, and demonstration.
