Jordan Zarqa's industrial exports hit USD206m in Q1


(MENAFN) Zarqa Chamber of Industry (ZCI) announced that the municipality's industrial exports reached USD206 million in the first quarter of the year, marking 0.1 percent increase year-on-year, Jordan News Agency reported.

The municipality's exportations to North America were 54 percent of aggregate exports, represented by a sum of about USD111 million. Exports to the Arab world, however, were 39 percent, which is equivalent to USD74 million.

The aggregate exports in March reached USD76 million, marking an upsurge of 10 percent compared to the same month in 2014, a chamber's official said in a statement.
