Oman's Gross Domestic Product hits USD82b in 2014


(MENAFN) Oman's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached USD82 billion in 2014, marking 4.6 percent increase over the USD78.37 billion recorded back in 2013, Times of Oman reported.

Crude oil backed the Omani GDP with USD35.92 billion, showing a 1.9 percent decline compared to 2013's USD36.6 billion contribution, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

However, Nat gas recorded a decrease of 8.5 percent in 2014, falling to USD2.76 billion from USD2.99 billion in 2013, according to NCSI's data.
