Qatar's Nakilat records USD61.2m net profit in Q1
Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) recorded USD61.2 million net profit in the first quarter of the year, marking 8 percent increase over the USD56.85 million made a year ago, The Peninsula reported.
Nakilat, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping company based in Doha, said that the surge is attributable to the company's sturdy growth of its operating shipping activities.
Nakilat also said that the solid performance of the LPG vessels and the astounding decline in funding costs were major contributors to the firm's success in the first quarter.
