UAE- Civil Defence Officers awarded new ranks


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Major General Jassem Al Marzouqui, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior, has decorated a number of officers at the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence General Directorate with their new ranks, in a ceremony held at the Civil Defence academy.

The officers were promoted by virtue of a Ministerial Resolution that H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has recently issued.

Major General Al Marzouqui extended his congratulations to the promoted officers and said, "This generous gift represents a turning point towards excellence and is an incentive to work even harder to gain new achievements. Such efforts will enhance the security and stability of our country, protect our national achievements, and optimize the policing system."

He urged the officers to exert additional efforts and in order to improve work and keep pace with the remarkable development and expansive progress witnessed by the UAE in all areas, particularly in policing and security work, in a bid to enhance security and stability. "With the new ranks come new responsibilities, hence the importance of acquiring modern policing and scientific knowledge to keep abreast of the latest developments," concluded Major General Al Marzouqui.

Attending the ceremony were Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, heads of departments and a number of officers from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence General Directorate.
