Jordanian King discusses regional developments with French Defense Min.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Jordanian King Abdullah II on Saturday met with visiting French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

In a press statement, the Jordanian Royal Court said the meeting tackled means to cement military cooperation between Jordan and France as well as a number of regional and international issues of common concern, namely counter-terrorism efforts.

Meanwhile, it was announced that King Abdullah II will hold a private meeting in Aqaba Sunday, with presidents of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, along with a number of other officials.

The meeting is being held within the framework of strengthening efforts and maintaining coordination and consultation among various regional and international parties to counter extremism and fight terrorism from a holistic approach.
