Senior Saudi, Pakistani officials discuss issues of joint concern


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of interior of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud received on Thursday the Special Envoy of Pakistan's Prime Minister, Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and the accompanying delegation.

The talks between the two sides dealt with bilateral relations and means of boosting them, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The meeting was attended by Pakistani Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz and Chief of General Staff General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed.

The Pakistani official held talks, on Wednesday in Jeddah with Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal, tackling the overall situation in the Gulf region and a number of issues of mutual concern.

The visit by the senior Pakistani officials to the Kingdom is being viewed as significant amid the current regional situation and the Yemeni crisis.
