Relatively cold weather forecast over weekend in Jordan


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A tangible drop in temperatures is expected on Thursday; therefore it will be relatively cold and partly cloudy to cloudy with rain at times mainly in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be northwesterly brisk, raising dust in the desert areas.

Temperatures will slightly rise on Friday, but it will remain relatively cold in the hilly areas and moderate in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes with a chance for scattered showers, especially in the northern and central regions. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD added.

A further rise in temperatures is forecast on Saturday creating mild weather in most parts of the country, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with low clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds .

Temperatures in the capital for today will reach a high of 16 degrees Celsius and a low of 8 degrees at night.
