KSE begins Wednesday's session with mixed performance


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) began Wednesday's session with mixed performance, with the benchmark dropping 4.04 points to 6,278 points but the weighted index inched upward, 0.13 points, followed by Kuwait-15 index, which also moved within a limited range gaining 1.81 points.

Value of traded shares amounted to KD 2.56 million, while volume turnover stood at approximately 22.1 million, done in 543 deals.

The Kuwaiti bourse ended Tuesday's session in the green zone as the weighted index gained 1.81 points, reaching 429.59, the price index put on 9.02 points, recording 6,282.48 points and the KSX 15 garnering 4.7 points, reaching 1,036.19 points. The number of trades was 4,199, with a value of 22,971,352.71 and a volume of 187,858,076 shares. The top gainers were (KFIC), (SENERGY), (EKTTITAB), (ALMADINA) and (BPCC), while the top volume shares were (HITSTELEC), (GFH), (AJWAN), (ALSALAM) and (SENERGY).

Trades at the KSE have been largely lackluster due to diverse technical and financial reasons. Reports indicate that the KSE market capital is currently in the range of KD 27 billion.

USD is traded at approximately KD 0.300.
