Jordan's Preparations for Tourism Security Conference discussed


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nayef Al-Fayez, discussed with Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, the preparations for the upcoming Tourism Security Conference to be held in Jordan.

The conference will gather a number of specialists and companies investing in the tourism sector in cooperation with the Arab League, the information and communications sector, the economic sector, the Prince Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and the Arab Tourism Organization, in addition to the media and interior ministries.

The conference aims to highlight the importance of tourism in the Arab world, the media's role in popularizing a culture of national and international security, and the need to enhance security and stability by reviving and maintaining tourism.

It will also urge the media to highlight the Arab nations' cultural identity; increase coordination between the institutions of the media and security officials managing tourism; highlight the role of security and media organizations in protecting the country's tourism potential by holding scientific meetings, conferences, and seminars; and create a space for the media in the tourism industry.

Al-Fayez stressed Jordan's readiness to host the conference, noting the importance of tourism being promoted by the media with accurate and relevant information.

Abu Ghazaleh confirmed that Jordan was chosen to host this conference because it can provide a safe environment for exploring its tourism potential, despite the current circumstances and challenges facing the Arab world.
