Sacred Heart School (www.sacredheartkingston.com) a private Catholic co-educational school for students in preschool through grade 12 today announced that Dylan Collins of Plymouth Massachusetts has been named Summer Programs Director.
In this newly created role Collins will be responsible for creating a variety of S.T.E.A.M. (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math) inspired summer enrichment programs working closely with Sacred Heart staff and faculty. Collins will develop and facilitate a flourishing program of more than 30 classes beginning this summer on Sacred Heart’s high school campus; the one-week electives will be designed to meet the specific interests of students entering grades 7 through 12 and better prepare them for future studies. Collins will also provide recreational and educational opportunities during school vacation weeks.
Collins has been an educator for the past 17 years; prior to joining the Sacred Heart faculty he was the Assistant Director of the Old Colony YMCA’s Camp Clark. Previously he was with A&J Sports Program for Youth Development. He has also taught and directed camps in Taiwan China Czech Republic and Argentina.
A graduate of Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology Collins was the recipient of the Old Colony YMCA Program Excellence Award in 2011.
Originally from Foxboro Collins now lives in Plymouth where in his spare time he coaches a variety of youth sports. He is the proud father of his son Keeley.
