Ooredoo showcases capabilities at meet in Qatar


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ooredoo is the official 'Smart telecom partner' for the Arab Future Cities Summit, which is now being held at the Ritz-Carlton.

Ooredoo is a 'Global lead partner' at the Smart Cities Council, a coalition of industry thought leaders, innovators and practitioners dedicated to improving the liveability, workability and sustainability of the world's cities.

The Arab Future Cities Summit is the Middle East's premier smart cities event, attracting more than 300 senior level executives to discuss progress, efficient management of resources, future developments and ways of making future cities work better in the Middle East.

This is the fourth edition of the event, and Ooredoo as both a partner and leading 'Smart City enabler', will be showcasing its growing portfolio of smart living projects for delegates.

Ooredoo has an active strategic and supportive role in shaping the telecom and ICT strategies of upcoming mega infrastructure developments undertaken in the state of Qatar as part of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

In particular, Ooredoo has been leading the smart city efforts for the first-ever Smart City in Qatar € the state-of-the-art Lusail City, which will be supported by Ooredoo's faster and bigger network.

Ooredoo is displaying a host of next generation technology at the event, from smart infrastructure (5G and Fibre), smart entertainment, connected cars, next generation education, health and workplace solutions, to mega-city and municipality services management, intelligent transport and smart stadiums, demonstrating the company's leadership in driving the latest and the best technology for businesses and consumers.
