(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Jordanian King Abdullah II has reaffirmed his country's support for Libya's efforts to restore security and stability and to fight "terrorist organizations" which target Libya's national unity and territorial integrity".
The Jordanian king made the remark during a meeting with visiting Libyan Army Commander General Khalifa Haftar here on Monday, according to a statement by the Royal Court.
"His Majesty stressed Jordan's continued support to Libya in its efforts to restore security and stability in the country and confront terrorist organizations that threaten the unity of Libya and its people," it said.
During the meeting, they addressed the current regional developments, mainly the situation in Libya, as well as efforts to counter "terrorism and terrorist groups", it said.
They also discussed cooperation between Jordan and Libya, mainly in the military field, the statement added.
