(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Arab Parliament Member and Kuwait National Assembly Member Mohammad Hadi Al-Huwaila arrived Monday in Sudanese capital as part of an Arab Parliament delegation to monitor Sudanese presidential and parliament elections.
Upon arrival, Al-Huwaila told KUNA that he is pleased to be here to monitor the elections, expressing wishes that candidates' rights would be protected through fair, free, and transparent voting.
The Member of Parliament also wished that Sudanese elections contribute to more stability and ambitions for the Sudanese people through progress and development.
Al-Huwaila was received by Kuwait Ambassador to Sudan Talal Mansour Al-Hajri.
At least 13.6 million people have the right to cast their ballots in Sudan's presidential and legislative polls, the National Election Commission (NEC) said.
In a statement, the NEC said that all preparations were made for the elections, adding that there are about 6.133 polling centers and the number of candidates for the president is 16.
