Dubai Customs Innovation Team seeks HP expertise


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Dubai Customs' Innovation Team has visited HP Innovation Center in Dubai, aimed at staying current with the latest best practices in the areas of innovation and creativity.

HP officials held a workshop for DC's team, introducing them to the approach and functions of the innovation center. The team also explored HP's innovative information security and archiving solutions.

Edris Behzad, Client Management Director, Adel Al Suwaidi, Technical Support Director, Khalfan Al Keaibi, Senior Manager of Client Service Management, Ahmed Shahdad, Inspection Manager at DXB Terminal 2, as well as 20 innovative employees from various customs divisions and departments comprised the team.

They were taken by HP officials on a tour around the premises and familiarised them with the company's products which potentially can be of great use to DC. The company's innovation system was showcased as a daily practice.

Commenting on the visit, Edris Behzad said that Dubai Customs is committed to partnering with local and international innovation leaders and setting an environment that encourages employees to think outside the box and think creatively, in line with DC's strategy to embrace innovation and mark 2015 as the Year of Innovation.

"The visit was aimed at interacting closely with world innovation leaders levels up DC's competitiveness," Behzad added.

Behzad described the visit as a prelude to a long-term future cooperation between DC and HP.
