Qatari Amir, UN Chief discuss regional situation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Qatari Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani met here on Sunday with visiting UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the latest regional and international developments, especially in Palestine, Libya, Syria and Yemen.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice conference, which began earlier, said the Qatar News Agency (QNA).

They reviewed cooperation between Qatar and the UN, and a number of topics put on the agenda of the conference, it added.

Sheikh Tamim also met on sidelines of the conference with President of the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Sam Kutesa, and discussed a number of common issues and cooperation between Qatar and the UN.
