Bank of Beirut to provide training for Omani staff


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) As part of its commitment to deliver quality customer service Bank of Beirut signed a contract with New Metrics Training Institute this week to provide training to 40 Omani employees at its Shatti al Qurm Ghubra The Wave Muscat and Sohar branches. 

According to a press release the one-year partnership is aimed at enhancing the customer-service skills of the bank's employees by equipping them with the right tools to improve sales and communication skills and on-the-job confidence.

The programme developed by New Metrics will use a mix of traditional classroom training and on-the job coaching to allow participants to apply their new skills to their workday. The course will also be enhanced by customer surveys mystery shopping and in-branch reviews conducted by customer service training experts at New Metrics which will give the bank insight into current levels of customer satisfaction and service and monitor improvements throughout the programme.

Ramy Zambarakji CEO of Bank of Beirut - Oman said 'With the opening of our fourth branch at the Wave Muscat we have shown our dedication to serving the needs of the customer this is further accelerated in our recent venture and partnership with New Metrics. Entering this year-long customer service training agreement with New Metrics is extremely important to the development of our national workforce and it will enhance the levels of customer service in all branches across the sultanate.'

At the conclusion of the programme in January 2016 three of the most improved sales staff will be awarded a prize by Bank of Beirut's management and become internal 'Customer Service Ambassadors' for Bank of Beirut. Going forward the programme can also be deployed for newly hired staff in a week long compressed version run by Bank of Beirut to introduce new sales staff to their role and equip them with the basic tools to succeed.

This project will showcase the skills of our trainers and the quality of our programmes.'
