Business opportunity for Indian artisans in global handicraft trade fair


(MENAFN- KNN India) Indian artisans will get business opportunity by showcasing their products in the upcoming Art International Handicraft Trade Fair to be held from April 24 to May 3, 2015 at Fortezza de Basso, Florence, Italy.

Office of DC (MSME) is participating in the 79th edition of the global event being organised by the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO).

"The objectives of O/o DC (MSME)'s participation in this fair are to strengthen bilateral trade and promote Indian products and technologies and also identifying areas of exports in Italy," said the Ministry of MSME.

Exhibitors from over 50 countries are participating in one of the most renowned multi product exhibitions in Europe.

They will exhibit variety of artworks including gifts and handicrafts; fashion jewellery and accessories; clothing and accessories; silverware and gold works; furniture and houseware and packaged food and wines.

In 2014, more than 800 exhibitors from 17 countries namely Belarus, Germany, Hong-Kong, Greece, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, China, Poland, Portugal, Russia, USA, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Japan and regions participated in the event which attracted more than 1,73, 000 visitors.
