(MENAFN- KNN India) In order to promote tour and travel agencies in the state, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board proposed to upgrade the function of tourist call centres.
It will be appointing a call agency to provide first hand authentic information to tourists.
The agency will act as the in-house travel partner of the state tourism on revenue sharing basis, and to act as the interface between the information seeker and the travel resources available in the state.
In this regard, the tourism board inviting bids from eligible corporates to be the service provider.
CTB was formed with the objectives to promote tourism as a means of economic growth, to generate employment, to identify and develop tourism areas and tourist circuits to provide facilities, amenities to the incoming tourists and to encourage private sector participation under the Tourism Incentive Scheme 2006.
It also focuses on manpower training and employment generation to create a manpower pool for travel trade and hospitality industry of this state. (KNN/ST)
