(MENAFN- QNA) HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Sunday met with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, on the sidelines of the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
During the meeting several regional and international issues were discussed especially the situations developments in Palestine, Libya, Syria and Yemen. HH the Emir and the UN Chief also exchanged views on the efforts to improve the stability in those countries.
The UN Sec-Gen extended thanks to HH the Emir on the Qatari role and efforts for regional stability.
Talks during the meeting dealt with cooperation relation between the State of Qatar and the UN in addition to some of the topics on the congress agenda.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Chairman of the UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice attended the meeting.
