Rain, hail forecast Saturday and Sunday....correction


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Temperatures on Saturday will be below their annual average by 7-8 degrees; therefore the weather is expected to be relatively cold and partly cloudy with light rain in the central and northern regions .

According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be westerly to southwesterly brisk raising dust mainly in the desert areas.

On Sunday, temperatures will further drop becoming 11-12 degrees below their annual average, therefore the weather will continue to be cold and cloudy with heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightening.

Hail is forecast during early morning hours in the hilly areas, while it will be heavy over Al-Sharah Mountains in Maan, some 220km south of the capital, with an altitude of over 1,700 meters above sea level, the JMD reported.

Winds will be westerly brisk to moderate.

A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Monday, but they will remain below their annual average. Therefore it will be relatively cold and partly cloudy to cloudy with rain, mainly in the northern and central parts of the country. Winds will be westerly to southwesterly moderate.

Temperatures expected in Amman for today will reach a high of 13 degrees and a low of 6 degrees at night.
