Exports from free zones in March reach JD290 million


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Exports from Jordanian free zones of goods and machinery last March stood at JD293 million.

A statement by the Free Zones Corporation said that the value of commodities that were exported from free zones to foreign and local markets in March reached JD144 million, JD78 million of which went to foreign markets and JD66 million to local markets.

"The value of the machineries that were exported to foreign and local markets in the same months stood at JD149 million, including JD72 million for foreign markets and JD77 million for local markets," the statement added.

It further said that the number of machineries exported to local and foreign markets stood at 14,183, including 6,897 million to foreign markets.
