Temperature to touch 40 degrees Sunday in Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The temperature is expected to continue to rise and touch 40 degrees Celsius Sunday, the Meteorology Department at the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority said.

Strong winds have also been forecast for the coming days with the wind speed reaching 33 knots at places Monday.

The winds have been attributed to high pressure from the northwest of Saudi Arabia associated with northwesterly wind. The waves will rise up to 12 ft offshore.

Due to the blowing dust, visibility will be reduced to 2km or less. The wind and dust will continue to affect the country until the end of Tuesday, April 14.

However, there will be a drop in the temperature on Monday and Tuesday when the maximum temperature would be between 32-35°C. From Wednesday midday the wind speed will decrease, the forecast added.
