20 LaborersKilled, Three Injured in Militant Attack in Soutthwest Pakistan
(MENAFN- QNA) At least 20 laborers were killed and three others injured in a militant attack in Turbat area of southwestern Balochistan province of Pakistan on Saturday, said officials.
District Police Officer (DPO) Turbat Imran Qureshi said in a statement that militants opened fire indiscriminately at the laborers while they were sleeping in Gogdan area of Turbat and sped away on their motorbikes. The injured workers were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital for medical treatment.
Qureshi speculated that the incident appeared to be an act of terrorism.
The laborers were employed for construction of 'Sohrab nullah' bridge in the area.
