Saudi- Mehran Shaheed emerge supreme in RCL league
(MENAFN- Arab News) RIYADH: Mehran got the better of Super Cricket Club to be crowned Twenty20 MoneyGram Super League champions.
In the final organized by the Riyadh Cricket League at the RCL Complex Mehran got the better of Super Cricket Club by six wickets.
Shaheen XI outclassed PTI by 96 runs to bag the Premier League title.
Khawar Alam Khan Farooq Mohsin and Rashid were the players who impressed in the finals.
Super took the wicket first and set their rivals a target of 173 for victory.
Khawar impressed with his batting and top-scored with 79 runs. Adnan later propped up the innings with 25 runs. Ibrahim and Assad Butt took 2 wickets each. Basharat Shah Fakhar and Mumtaz took a wicket each.
In reply Mehran achieved the target easily after 16 overs. Rehan provided a solid start to Mehran he scored a match winning 73 runs. He was supported by Alam Khan who got 55 runs. Kashif took 2 wickets.
Khawar Zafar and Shameer were the umpires of the final.
Man-of-the-Match: Rehan.
In premier league final Shaheen XI put up a decent total of 216 runs. Farooq was in good form and top-scored with 65 runs. He was supported by Mohsin's 55. Rashid got 28. Inam took 2 wickets.
In reply PTI failed to make a fight of it and were bowled out for 120 runs. Sultan (30) and Aziz (25) were the other scorers. Rashid did most of the damage as he ripped through the rival batting line-up and took 5 wickets. Mubeen and Lal Dad supervised the final.
Man-of-the-Match: Rashid.
Syed Qasim Ali Naqvi Rahat Chaudhary and Imran Hameed were present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Cash prizes were given to umpires Lal Dad Mubeen Malik Suhail Tariq Butt Khawar and Shameer.
